How to Make a Ceylon Black Tea – FBOP

  • Ceylon black tea leaves (FBOP grade)
  • Fresh cold water
  • (Optional) Milk, sugar, lemon, honey to taste

  • Teapot
  • Teacups
  • Teastrainer or infuser
  • Kettle
  • Spoon

  1. Boil fresh cold water in a kettle. Use 1 cup water per 1 teaspoon tea leaves.
  2. Place the Ceylon black tea FBOP leaves into a teapot or directly into a teastrainer/infuser. Use 1 tsp leaves per cup of water.
  3. When water reaches a rolling boil, take it off heat and let cool for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves. Let steep for 3-5 minutes to fully infuse flavor.
  5. Taste tea after 3 minutes. Steep longer if a stronger flavor is desired, but be careful not to oversteep or it may become bitter.
  6. When tea has reached desired strength, remove infuser or strain tea into teacups.
  7. Add any desired milk, sugar, honey or lemon to taste.
  8. Serve and enjoy the rich, earthy flavor of Ceylon black tea FBOP!

Caution: Be careful not to burn yourself when pouring the freshly boiled water.
